How Can You Get Involved?

The Very Moving Festival Company was set up in 1997 with full Charitable status and registered at Companies House as a company limited by guarantee.

 Creating SONGLINES by involving local communities in singing and walking events has now been tried and tested and has proved a highly successful means of fulfilling the company's aims and objectives. Tom is contacting all the churches and schools (during term time) that he will pass on his coastal journey around Britain and give them an estimated day when he will arrive with suggestions as to how they can be involved. They can for example just listen to his song presentation or create an event where they also sing or sing together. He will give schools ideas and material to prepare.

After the event they will be invited to walk with him to/towards the next community and thereby involving themselves in helping create the SONGLINE. Many of Tom's friends, family and choirs intend to join him for parts of his journey for instyance in Edinburgh where his former class from the Steiner School are now in their prime!Tom is budgeting on it costing £250 a week to keep himself going. He will carry a rucksack and camp out or use hostels, B & B's or accept hospitality if offered. You can be involved by making a financial contribution to the £5,000 cost of the walk to help Tom in this unique enterprise. That is to say £15,000 for the 3 years the project will take. Sponsor a particular day or to sing in a particular church or place or time. Postcards will be sent to verify. Tom would be enormously grateful.
