My walk around the coast is a celebration. A celebration of the wonders of the world and of being a part of it. Of the power, beauty and fragility of nature and of our unique ability to experience it as human beings. To ponder our place in the world and seek for what we have to contribute. As a practicing Christian, I visit churches and see them as places where communities gather to concentrate their minds on praising God who they can see all around them. One of the ways we do this is by singing. I believe that singing moves us and those around us and that its echo resonates as an energy in the place where it happens and in those who are involed either actively or passively. My contribution is to initiate occassions where I sing in each church and take any song contributions with me on a song pilgrimage, creating a line of song encircling our island. I choose to call this a SONGLINE. The churches are the focal points, and my walk links them together. As a pilgrimage it is a quest for potential personal spiritual progress but at the same time making a contribution to each community through performing in each church and encouraging these communities to contribute to the SONGLINE. To create this I need your support, and ask that you open your doors so the song may pass through and on to the next church.
